Job Overview
The Dean plays a pivotal role in the leadership and administration of the academic unit within a university. This position is responsible for overseeing curriculum development, education administration, and the overall strategic direction of the department. The Dean will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to foster an environment conducive to academic excellence and innovation. This leadership role requires strong management skills, a deep understanding of higher education teaching, and the ability to effectively supervise diverse teams. The Dean oversees the delivery of academic services and is responsible for ensuring a quality education for all students. All Deans should, at a minimum, hold an Bachelor’s degree and have experience in academia.

- Manage budgeting processes to ensure financial sustainability of programs and initiatives.

- Represent the academic unit in university-wide meetings and initiatives.
- Advocate for resources and support necessary for achieving departmental goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in education administration within a higher education setting.
- Strong background in curriculum development with an emphasis on innovative teaching practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of successful management of teams.
- Experience in strategic planning with an ability to implement long-term goals effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management in an academic context.
- A terminal degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with significant higher education teaching experience.
